I made cornis board for my friend's house. She wanted her living room to look more traditional and formal. This cornis board is all wood. The front is MDF and the trim has 3 total different pieces that are next to each other and calked to look like one large solid piece of trim.
It is painted a dark chocolate brown underneath a black glaze to give it a rich textured look.
There is also trim along the bottom. The cuts were made with a miter saw for the trim and then nailed together with a nail gun.
The iron decorative piece really adds a lot to the cornis board. I love how it makes a boring room look so classy and elegant (and taller).
